I have had wonderful treatments each day. Eaten amazing healthy soups and juices along with the light diet which has been a delicious breakfast and lunch. All carefully calorie controlled to diminish cravings and encourage healthy weight loss and detox. My room is lovely and after some early county walking and classes it is a delight to sink the luxurious bed at the end of each day. I will certainly be returning again and again …. And now as I come to the end of my stay I can honestly say I feel glowing from the inside out and have a renewed energy and an enthusiasm to continue with the healthy diet on my return home. But don't worry - you will love it here too. I needed a reset after a prolonged period of extreme stress and accompanying bad habits (too many takeaways, too much booze, too little exercise). I went for the 5-night Mind Body Restorer, and I couldn't recommend it more highly. You have a choice of a juice only diet (with soup in the in the evening) or three light vegan meals per day. I went for the second option. The food is exceptional. Yes it's vegan (which I most certainly am not), but it was some of the most fresh, intricate and delicious fayre I have ever had the pleasure of sampling. This is key to how 6 days on a very low calorie diet becomes not only manageable, but almost pleasurable: I lost 3.5% of my body weight (nearly half a stone) in less than a week, and whilst I did feel hungry at times, I never felt 'starving'. Next to mention is the spa; both the facilities and the staff. The facilities are easily 5-star hotel standard, but the quality of the staff and the treatment rooms is even higher than that. I have had massages all over the world, but none better than I had here (all the spa staff were brilliant, but a special shout out goes to Emily, who was simply amazing!) Finally, the rest of the staff. I can't recall ever staying anywhere where every single member of staff was so polite, so knowledgeable, so professionally turned out, so happy, so helpful - a big thank you to all of you! This was my first visit to Homefield Grange. I had carried out a lot of research to ensure that it was the type of 'wellness spa' I was looking for. It did not disappoint! From the moment I rang to check availability to the moment I left after a week's stay, I found the staff so friendly and caring it was like going to stay with old friends who know you well! The venue, nestled in the rolling countryside of Northamptonshire has an air of quiet luxury, nothing glitzy or brash. They do not 'push' to upsell treatments, etc., they allow you to take everything at your own pace. There's lots of knowledgeable advice to take on board if you wish to and the daily food demonstrations were informative and great fun too! Both chefs, Tommy and Ton were so talented and their food each day was amazing!! If there were any foods you didn't like (and I'm a very 'picky' eater!) they would adapt that day's recipe to accommodate you. Each meal (I opted for the 'Light Diet') was a revelation in vegan cooking to be thoroughly enjoyed in the elegant dining room. The wellness centre is pristine and the therapists were friendly, knowledgable and very professional. A special 'shoutout' to Debs, who put me at my ease all through my treatment with her.
